Software Engineer – Bioinformatics & Machine Learning

About the role

BioLizard is a fast‑growing scale‑up that delivers bioinformatics, software engineering and machine‑learning solutions to biotech, pharma and academic customers. As a Software Engineer you will join multidisciplinary project teams and help translate biological questions into robust, data‑driven software applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain and document software solutions that meet architectural guidelines and client requirements.
• Collaborate with Data Science teams to implement and troubleshoot pipelines, interfaces and applications.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing tools and workflows.
• Produce and update technical documentation for internal and client use.
• Support sales activities by participating in customer meetings and contributing to proposal content.

Required profile

• Strong interest in biotechnology, pharmaceutical or diagnostic sectors.
• Enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams and using modern development practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
