Software Designer/Tester – Simulation & Tools

About the role

Médiane Benelux is seeking a Software Designer/Tester to work on critical railway systems. You will develop, automate, and maintain high‑reliability software components while ensuring seamless CI/CD integration in a modern DevOps environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects to define robust software specifications and contribute to system architecture.
• Develop software components in Python, C# and C++ and create automation scripts for testing, deployment and tooling.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI) and enforce best practices in version control.
• Support integration between software and hardware, working closely with test and system teams.
• Continuously improve DevOps processes, focusing on performance, reliability and scalability.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Python, C# and C++.
• Proven experience writing Python automation scripts.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with version‑control best practices (Git, branching strategies, pipeline governance).
• Ability to work on safety‑critical, high‑performance railway applications.
