Site Engineering Manager – Pharma CDMO (Belgium)

About the role

The Site Engineering Manager will lead the technical services function at a fast‑growing pharmaceutical CDMO in the Flemish region of Belgium. Reporting to the Plant Manager and sitting on the management team, you will have full ownership of GMP utilities, equipment strategy and capital projects, shaping the technical direction of the site.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of GMP utilities – purified water systems, HVAC, clean rooms and pressure‑differential management.
• Develop and execute a preventive maintenance strategy to ensure production continuity.
• Lead capital engineering projects, including new equipment installation, design and commissioning.
• Host and guide client auditors through the facility.
• Drive continuous improvement, business continuity and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Partner cross‑functionally with production, packaging, quality and regulatory teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in GMP‑regulated environments.
• Deep, hands‑on knowledge of pharmaceutical GMP utilities.
• Proven leadership of technical or engineering teams in a regulated setting.
• Fluent Dutch/Flemish (native level preferred) and strong English.
• Strong audit experience and safety knowledge or formal safety qualifications.
• Experience leading engineering or capital projects and presenting to external clients or regulators.
