Site Director – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Site Director will lead a mid‑sized international manufacturing site, driving a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement. Reporting to senior leadership, the role is responsible for operational and financial performance, and for positioning the site as a flagship operation within the global network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for the site, ensuring performance across safety, quality, cost and service objectives.
• Drive Lean methodologies and embed TPM/WCM principles to enhance efficiency and operational excellence.
• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary management team, building engagement and capability.
• Align production, supply chain, engineering and support functions to ensure smooth, reliable operations.
• Monitor business and operational metrics and translate insights into actions that improve competitiveness.
• Own the site’s financial performance, including budgeting, resource allocation and investment priorities.
• Strengthen collaboration and best‑practice sharing across the international manufacturing network.
• Support customer success through consistent product quality, dependable delivery and operational flexibility.
• Lead strategic initiatives and transformation projects to develop the site into a flagship operation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex manufacturing operations with full accountability for site performance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operational complexity across multiple functions and stakeholders.
• Strong track record of developing and motivating multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in budgeting, financial management and resource allocation.
• Ability to foster a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement and lean thinking.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across a global network.
