SEO Specialist

About the role

As an SEO Specialist you will maximise organic traffic to IKEA’s website by defining and executing the SEO strategy. You will work closely with the Web Manager and cross‑functional teams to improve search rankings across major search engines.

Key responsibilities

• Research, implement and monitor SEO recommendations.
• Develop and execute a tactical link‑building plan.
• Continuously discover, expand and optimise keyword strategies.
• Shape metadata and ensure proper sitemap structure for both users and crawlers.
• Analyse competitor advertising links and adjust tactics accordingly.
• Collaborate with content editors, sales and marketing to keep content fresh and SEO‑friendly.
• Contribute to the SEM plan and its implementation.
• Promote SEO best practices across other teams.

Required profile

• Strong background in content strategy, SEO and SEM.
• Proactive learning attitude and willingness to experiment with industry trends.
• Proven ability to grow inbound organic traffic and improve SERPs.
• Understanding of mobile strategy as it relates to SEO.
• Passion for helping IKEA become a leading multichannel home‑furnishing retailer.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, complex environments.
• Creative, strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Experience with popular keyword research tools.
