Senior System / Network Administrator for F-35 Operations

About the role

Operate and secure mission‑critical IT systems that directly support F‑35 flight operations at Kleine Brogel Air Base. The role requires full‑time on‑site presence to ensure system stability, network performance and operational continuity in a highly controlled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor Windows and Linux systems in a high‑availability environment.
• Maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches and firewalls (Layer 2/3, TCP/IP).
• Own backup, restore and disaster‑recovery processes across virtualized and storage environments.
• Control system configurations and changes within strict procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across systems, networks and infrastructure.
• Support users and coordinate with on‑site stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in system and network administration.
• Strong experience with both Windows and Linux environments.
• Professional communication skills in English.

Required skills

• TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, switching knowledge.
• Enterprise networking experience (e.g., Cisco or Juniper).
• Virtualization, storage and backup technologies.
• Disaster‑recovery planning and execution.
