Senior Sub-System Manager

About the role

Expleo is seeking a Senior Sub‑System Manager to lead the delivery of a critical sub‑system within large‑scale projects. The role combines strategic project oversight with hands‑on coordination of cross‑functional teams to ensure that sub‑system objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the defined project strategy to the assigned sub‑system and monitor contractual commitments.
• Alert promptly to any deviations that could impact overall project goals and contribute to risk, savings, and opportunity management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, including ethics, environmental health & safety, railway safety, and quality requirements.
• Translate QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Performance) objectives into actionable tasks for the sub‑system team.
• Plan, monitor, control, and manage end‑to‑end sub‑system activities (scope, schedule, resources, cost, risks, savings, opportunities).
• Coordinate engineering, R&D, procurement, supply chain, reliability, safety and other functions to achieve seamless execution.
• Lead the sub‑system team, synchronize stakeholders, and make trade‑off decisions at sub‑system level.
• Manage interfaces with project‑level teams, configuration management, procurement, quality, and train‑level architecture groups.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a sub‑system/component manager or managing a complex operational scope.
• Experience working in multinational environments.
