Senior Software Engineer (Golang)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong Golang expertise to join a high‑performance platform engineering team in Belgium. The role focuses on building and scaling distributed systems that power critical blockchain infrastructure at global scale, taking ownership from design through production.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end development of platform features, including design, implementation, testing, deployment and production operations.
• Translate customer and operational challenges into scalable backend and infrastructure solutions.
• Design and build distributed backend services in Go, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance and operational efficiency.
• Define and monitor platform metrics such as deployment success rate, provisioning time, reliability and utilization.
• Collaborate with DevOps, product, support and infrastructure teams to evaluate trade‑offs and prioritize improvements.
• Identify bottlenecks and reliability risks, driving long‑term architectural enhancements.
• Apply AI‑augmented engineering practices to accelerate development, testing and documentation while maintaining high correctness standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, primarily in backend, distributed systems or platform engineering.
• Proven track record of owning complex projects end‑to‑end in production environments.
• Deep understanding of distributed, event‑driven and asynchronous architectures and reliability engineering principles.
• Hands‑on experience with messaging or streaming systems such as Kafka, NATS or RabbitMQ.
• Experience deploying and operating services in Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform, Helm or Terragrunt.
