Senior Shopify Back‑end Developer

About the role

SQLI is looking for a Senior Shopify Back‑end Developer to own the technical backbone of e‑commerce projects. You will work from our Diegem office, collaborating with sales, delivery, finance and operations teams to deliver high‑impact, scalable Shopify solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement custom Shopify apps and backend services using TypeScript, Node.js and frameworks such as NestJS.
• Develop and maintain integrations with ERP (SAP, Odoo, MS Dynamics), PIM, and POS systems.
• Work with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, Webhooks and event‑driven architectures to enable seamless data flows.
• Implement Shopify Functions, Checkout extensibility and custom metafields.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts and front‑end teams to ensure end‑to‑end solution quality.
• Optimize performance, scalability and maintainability of all backend components.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proven track record building Shopify apps and working with Shopify APIs.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to take ownership from concept to release.
• Comfortable working in complex integration environments without adding unnecessary complexity.
