Senior Robotics Software Engineer

About the role

Intermodalics is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to design and implement reusable, efficient algorithms and software architectures for a variety of robotic platforms. You will work in a Linux environment, leveraging open‑source libraries and cutting‑edge AI tools to solve complex interdisciplinary challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate software components across different robotic assets and platforms.
• Design reusable algorithms and system architectures, using existing libraries where possible.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Take ownership of mission‑critical tasks and drive solutions across cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing software architectures and algorithms for robotics.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive problem‑solver, and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively.
• Fluent English (written and verbal) and comfortable communicating with global teams.
