Senior Project Manager – Near-site Brussels

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale financial, procurement or grant‑management system projects for an international organisation. The role is based near Brussels and requires immediate availability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, budget and quality standards.
• Oversee day‑to‑day execution, monitor progress and align activities with the project plan.
• Allocate and optimise resources, track dependencies and manage priorities.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues, implementing appropriate resolution strategies.
• Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular status reports.
• Facilitate collaboration between technical teams, business owners and external partners.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 6 years in a similar project‑management role.
• University degree (minimum 4 years of study) or equivalent diploma.
• Fluent English (C1 level) and ability to work in an international environment.
• Experience delivering large‑scale financial, procurement or grant‑management systems.
• Previous work for an international organisation; experience with DG SANTÉ is a plus.

Required skills

• Proven expertise in project‑management methodologies and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Atlassian Jira.
• Application of Scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS.
• Mandatory certification in PM2 or an equivalent project‑management certification.
