Senior Manager – International Policy Communications

About the role

As a Senior Manager in International Policy Communications, you will translate complex policy and regulatory developments into clear, compelling narratives that support Novartis’ engagement with stakeholders across markets. Based in Brussels, you will work at the intersection of public affairs, corporate communications and patient advocacy to strengthen the company’s voice in critical policy discussions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute global policy communications aligned with enterprise and public‑affairs priorities.
• Develop policy narratives, messaging frameworks and positioning for EU and worldwide policy environments.
• Translate technical policy and regulatory topics into credible communications for external audiences.
• Create and maintain briefing materials, Q&A documents and other policy‑communication assets.
• Drive scenario planning and prepare response materials for emerging policy issues.
• Partner with public affairs, patient‑advocacy and corporate‑communications teams to ensure aligned messaging.
• Collaborate with regional and market teams to roll out communications materials effectively.
• Support media engagement by preparing spokespeople and drafting policy‑related content.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, international relations, political science, communications or a related field.
• Extensive experience in policy communications, public affairs or corporate affairs.
• Strong writing ability and experience crafting clear, compelling content.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and collaboration skills in an international, matrixed environment.
• High learning agility and openness to development.
