Senior Legal Counsel – International Commercial Contracts

About the role

Melexis is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Tessenderlo office. You will act as a trusted business partner, supporting a global technology company that designs and supplies micro‑electronic semiconductor solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft and review a wide range of international commercial agreements, including contracts with universities, customers, suppliers, IP licences, service, procurement and development agreements.
• Provide legal advice to sales, procurement, R&D and innovation teams, translating complex legal issues into clear, pragmatic guidance.
• Balance legal risk with commercial objectives to enable confident business decisions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to deliver efficient, solution‑oriented legal support.
• Contribute to the development of the legal function as a strategic partner in an evolving international context.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law (Belgian or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial law, preferably as in‑house counsel in an international environment.
• Strong expertise in international commercial contracts and IP‑related matters.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Interest in technology, automotive or robotics sectors.
• Team‑player attitude with a focus on transparency and knowledge sharing.
