Senior Legal and Compliance Officer – Europe

About the role

Join Panasonic Europe’s Compliance team as a Senior Legal and Compliance Officer. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer in Brussels, you will work across multiple European locations, supporting Panasonic units throughout the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor legal developments and assess related risks, especially in sustainability, AI, cybersecurity and other emerging legislation.
• Design policies, processes, contractual templates and guidance to ensure compliance with sustainability and digital regulations.
• Provide advice to Panasonic entities on new laws, sustainability issues and digital topics.
• Guide local entities on legal assessments of inquiries from customers, suppliers, NGOs and authorities.
• Deliver communication, training and awareness programmes on relevant compliance matters.
• Support and conduct compliance investigations as needed.

Required profile

• Fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d) with an above‑average degree in an EU jurisdiction or the UK.
• Legal qualification must be from an EU/UK jurisdiction; other qualifications are not sufficient.
• Experience in monitoring legal changes, risk assessment and policy development, preferably in sustainability or digital law.
