Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Daikin Europe is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join its international Internal Audit team in Brussels. You will lead operational audit engagements across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, applying advanced analytics, automation and AI‑enabled assurance techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Fully lead end‑to‑end operational audit engagements, from risk assessment to report issuance, following IIA standards and Daikin’s digital audit methodology.
• Participate in managing J‑SOX compliance for the Daikin Europe Group, enhancing control testing with analytics and automation.
• Manage internal and external resources, mentor less‑experienced staff and provide on‑the‑job training.
• Communicate findings verbally to senior management and draft comprehensive audit reports.
• Develop audit work programs that integrate data analytics, digital risk considerations and emerging tools.
• Utilise and promote IT systems such as SAP, PowerBI, ACL/Analytics and Workiva, and contribute to new tools like scripts, continuous monitoring dashboards and AI‑supported analysis.
• Support strategic projects for the Internal Audit department.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent through experience).
• Minimum 8 years of internal audit or related experience.
• Experience with J‑SOX compliance and risk‑based audit planning.
