Senior Information Technology System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Senior IT System Administrator to manage the Linux‑based infrastructure that underpins semiconductor and ASIC design activities. The role is based in Leuven, Belgium and operates in a hybrid model, supporting engineering teams across Europe, the US and India.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, administer and maintain Linux servers, VMware vSphere/ESXi virtual environments and associated storage and backup solutions.
• Monitor performance, capacity and availability, and resolve incidents affecting design, verification and simulation workflows.
• Support EDA environments, including license servers and tool integrations, and work closely with design and verification teams.
• Manage network components such as VLANs, VPNs, routing, firewalls and access controls, ensuring security and compliance.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and operational tools to improve efficiency and standardisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior system administrator in a Linux‑centric, engineering‑focused environment.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills for collaboration with global teams.
• Hands‑on attitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
