Senior Information Security Officer – ISO27001 & NIS2 Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Information Security Officer to join our Security Management team in Belgium. You will drive ISO 27001 certification, NIS2 compliance and shape the overall security posture of a fast‑growing, start‑up‑mindset company.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare ISO 27001 certification and achieve NIS2 compliance.
• Conduct security assessments (ISO 27001, NIS2, risk, maturity) and define road‑maps.
• Develop and maintain information security policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Evaluate architecture for threats, provide recommendations and support implementation projects.
• Lead crisis management, business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Organise security awareness programmes and respond to customer security questionnaires.
• Support sales teams with security expertise during customer engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cyber Security or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of experience in audit, risk management, information security or related IT roles.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27000 series, NIST, ISF, CIS, NIS2).
• Proven project‑management skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; good level of French.
• Based in Belgium and available for hybrid work (3‑4 days onsite).
