Senior Group Legal Counsel

About the role

Ericsson is seeking a Senior Group Legal Counsel to join its Customer Unit West Europe and the EMEA Group Function Legal Affairs & Compliance. Based in Massy, Brussels or Breda, you will act as a trusted legal partner for the business, providing strategic guidance on a wide range of complex legal matters across France and the Netherlands.

Key responsibilities

• Advise business units on commercial, corporate, regulatory, public procurement and data‑protection issues.
• Lead negotiations and drafting of high‑value customer sale and sourcing contracts, strategic partnerships and M&A transactions.
• Provide counsel on competition, intellectual‑property, sanctions/trade‑control and dispute‑resolution matters.
• Support corporate governance, R&D activities and ensure compliance with regional and global regulations.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, leveraging technology and AI to improve legal processes.

Required profile

• Senior legal professional with extensive experience in complex commercial and regulatory environments.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, ambiguous settings and deliver clear, pragmatic solutions.
• Strong judgment, integrity and a collaborative mindset to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is advantageous.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of commercial contract law and corporate governance.
• Experience with data‑protection, competition, sanctions and trade‑control regulations.
• Ability to manage high‑value negotiations and complex dispute‑resolution matters.
