Senior Counsel – Security Solutions

About the role

Mastercard is looking for an experienced Senior Counsel to join its Security Solutions team in Brussels. The role focuses on the Fraud & Decisioning Solutions business unit, providing legal guidance for emerging technology products and supporting the commercial growth of Mastercard’s security portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to advise on the commercialization of new security technologies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, licensing agreements, and service level agreements for global deployments.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support the development of internal policies and risk‑management frameworks related to fraud prevention and decisioning services.
• Provide legal input on product design, go‑to‑market strategies, and cross‑border transactions.

Required profile

• Qualified attorney with several years of experience in technology, data privacy, or financial services law.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in an agile, fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex legal concepts for non‑legal stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
