Senior Backend Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join a collaborative team building scalable, high‑performance digital platforms. You will work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and platform teams to deliver robust backend services that power engaging user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and engine components.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver new platform features.
• Improve system performance, scalability, stability, and security.
• Support integration between backend services and frontend applications.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and engineering best practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across development processes.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Node.js.
• Strong understanding of Domain‑Driven Design principles.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases.
• Ability to work effectively in agile, cross‑functional teams.
• Professional English communication skills.
• Based in Belgium.
