Senior Accountant – Joint Ventures

About the role

BESIX Group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead the accounting and financial follow‑up of joint‑venture projects. The role ensures accurate reporting, compliance with standards, and effective coordination with internal and external partners while acting as a backup for the department Team Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for multiple joint‑venture entities.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping, including journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end closing.
• Monitor cash flow, project costs and partner allocations.
• Produce partner reporting and financial summaries for joint‑venture participants.
• Coordinate with project managers, partners, auditors and external accountants.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and internal procedures.
• Support audit processes and provide required documentation.
• Improve and maintain accounting procedures and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of end‑to‑end accounting experience, preferably in project accounting, joint ventures or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and detail‑oriented skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively with multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent in English with professional proficiency in Dutch and French.
