Security Subject Matter Expert (SME)

About the role

As a Security Subject Matter Expert at Müller's Solutions you will shape the company’s security strategy, advise cross‑functional teams and ensure that security policies, risk management and compliance are consistently applied across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls and Palo Alto Prisma Access.
• Design and maintain BGP routing on Palo Alto platforms.
• Manage security operations using Algosec FireFlow, Log Analyzer and AppViz.
• Optimize network security policies and streamline incident‑response processes.
• Serve as the primary authority on security topics for internal stakeholders.
• Analyse risks, recommend mitigation strategies and minimise vulnerabilities.
• Develop, review and maintain security policies, standards and guidelines aligned with ISO 27001, NIST and PCI DSS.
• Deliver training sessions and workshops to raise security awareness.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement effective controls and technologies.
• Stay current with emerging threats, trends and technologies.
• Participate in security audits and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, focusing on security architecture and risk management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience as a security subject matter expert.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST and PCI DSS frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH; CCIE is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
