Scientific Training & Sales Representative - Veterinary Nutrition

About the role

Royal Canin is hiring a full-time, field-based Scientific Training & Sales Representative for Belgium, working across 7 sales territories. About 60% of the time is spent delivering scientific training to veterinary practices, and 40% building relationships with them. The role combines scientific expertise, training and consultative sales, with a target of €64,000 to €75,000 OTE.

Key responsibilities

• Train veterinary clinics across 7 territories and lead scientific discussions with vets and external specialists
• Adapt complex scientific content to different audiences and advise external decision-makers
• Support scientific lectures, congresses, seminars and specialist sessions, and organise regional veterinary events
• Advise veterinary customers together with the area manager and wider team
• Build new relationships and deepen partnerships with key decision-makers in your own region
• Run consultative sales conversations focused on customer needs and nutritional outcomes, document results and adjust plans
• Share customer insights in regional and national team meetings

Required profile

• Degree in veterinary medicine or a related scientific field (biology, agriculture, nutrition); alternatively relevant professional training plus at least 3 years of veterinary experience with proven nutritional counselling experience
• Extensive knowledge of cat and dog diseases and their nutritional needs
• Fluent in French and Dutch; English is the business language
• Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays

• Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for consultative selling
• Confidence using customer management systems and Excel for analysis and goal setting
