SAP Technical Expert - Fiori Applications

About the role

SNCB Ypto is hiring a SAP Technical Expert for its Solution Delivery ECS (ABAP & Fiori Development) team, based near Brussels-South station. The role provides day-to-day functional and technical application support for Fiori applications within the Process & Functional Support function, mainly funded on CAPEX budget, and helps resolve the backlog of legal requirements and change requests for shERPa in line with project planning.

Key responsibilities

• Translate functional requirements into SAP technical requirements and specifications, including architectural design, together with functional analysts and other developers.
• Improve and consolidate the existing platform, diagnose and analyse issues and changes, and design appropriate solutions.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for new developments, change requests and bug fixes.
• Act as technical specialist and point of contact for the enterprise architect, keeping an overview of the current architecture.
• Bring in best practices, out-of-the-box thinking and technology trends to improve Fiori applications and their service level.
• Proactively improve support, training, processes and communication around Fiori applications and independently run small projects.

Required profile

• Higher education degree.
• More than 10 years of relevant experience in a similar function or through project experience.
• At least 5 years of ABAP OO development and 5 years of SAPUI5/Fiori development.
• Experience in at least two functional SAP modules such as MM or SD.
• Dutch, French and English, spoken and written; Dutch or French native or at least C-level, the other at least B2, and English at least B2.

Required skills

• ABAP OO, ABAP Workbench, RAP, CDS, AMDP, Workflow, IDOC, ALV Grid and ABAP WebDynpro.
• SAP data services: web services, OData, SOAP, XML, JSON and REST.
• ADT and Joule or other AI development tools.
• Good governance, risk management and operational practices.
