CTO Belgium

About the role

Breakmark is hiring a CTO for Belgium and Luxembourg to partner with one of the fastest-growing companies in enterprise AI. The company builds the infrastructure that lets large enterprises design, deploy and manage AI agents across complex workflows, powering customer and employee interactions through voice, chat, email and back-office systems. As Site CTO you will own the technical strategy for the region, build the local technical organisation from the ground up, and work at the intersection of Engineering, Product, Sales and Customer Success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise technical engagements: partner with customers during sales, run technical discovery, product demos, architecture reviews and integration discussions, and act as a trusted technical advisor for AI deployments in production.
• Stay hands-on: build integrations, prototypes and production-ready solutions, set engineering standards for scalability, reliability and performance, and support complex customer implementations.
• Build and lead the regional technical team: recruit, mentor and grow engineering and solutions people, establish best practices across architecture, delivery and customer success.
• Own customer delivery: lead implementations from solution design through deployment, ensure AI solutions work reliably in production, and solve high-impact technical challenges with customers and internal teams.
• Shape regional strategy: feed customer feedback into Product and Engineering roadmaps, adapt solutions to regional market needs, and represent the technical organisation to customers, partners and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience and 5+ years leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience building technical organisations from the ground up and owning production systems at scale.
• Strong understanding of AI, LLMs and modern AI infrastructure; experience delivering AI-powered products into production is highly desirable.
• Prior startup founder experience is a must.
• Excellent English and fluent or native knowledge of the local market language.
