Rooms Front of House Employee

About the role

The Rooms Front of House Employee delivers exceptional guest service across all front‑of‑house areas of a luxury hotel, including guest registration, concierge assistance, bell services, and telephone operations. The role focuses on creating personalized, memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits and brand loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Check guests in and out, manage special requests, and block rooms as needed.
• Answer all phone calls promptly, handle PBX communications, and provide accurate information.
• Assist with luggage delivery, coordinate guest amenities, and make reservations for restaurants, airlines, car rentals, and entertainment.
• Develop relationships with local service providers such as babysitters, florists, and spa services.
• Maintain daily checklists, pre‑assign rooms for VIPs and repeat guests, and keep a follow‑up log for concierge communications.
• Attend hotel and department meetings and perform Guest Service Agent duties when required.

Required profile

• Hospitality degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a concierge or front‑of‑house employee in a luxury resort.
• Ability to adapt to changing guest needs, maintain composure under pressure, and work flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using hotel property management systems such as Opera, Alice, and HOTSOS.
