R&D Financial Analytics and Forecasting Lead

About the role

You will shape the future outlook of UCB's development portfolio by combining financial analytics, forecasting, valuation and strategic planning. Your work will translate scientific and business insights into financial perspectives that support investment decisions and portfolio prioritisation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial analytics and portfolio insights to support strategic decisions across development programmes.
• Evaluate development investments through business case assessments, valuation analyses and scenario modelling.
• Partner with development teams to build robust forecasts and strengthen key planning assumptions.
• Coordinate portfolio forecasting activities and promote consistency of methodologies and assumptions.
• Facilitate the Asset Assumption Review cycle and assess portfolio risks, opportunities and alternative scenarios.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry, preferably in portfolio finance, strategic planning or investment evaluation.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across complex, global, cross‑functional environments.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical R&D value chain and its key value drivers.
