About the role
Hologic is seeking a Quality Specialist to join its Quality Inspection, Product Release and Document Control team in Liège. You will play a key part in ensuring that raw materials, components and finished kits meet the company’s specifications and regulatory requirements before they reach the market.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect incoming raw materials, components and finished kits for compliance with Hologic specifications.
- Review batch records and manufacturing documentation to support product release.
- Approve and release less complex finished‑product documentation using the ERP system.
- Verify labeling components and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.
- Maintain inspection and laboratory records according to established procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance of the inspection area, including cleaning and equipment upkeep.
- Review documentation and data for compliance with quality standards and internal procedures.
- Initiate Non‑Conformance Events (NCEs) related to inspection and release activities.
- Assist in CAPA and quality‑improvement initiatives.
- Support internal and external audits, providing required documentation.
- Carry out compliance activities such as QA holds and retain handling.
- Help maintain and report departmental quality metrics.
- Participate in document‑control processes, reviewing, routing and approving quality‑system documents.
- Assign and manage training materials in line with defined requirements.
- Ensure quality‑system documentation is stored securely and is easily retrievable.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or related field.
- Experience in a quality, laboratory or regulated environment.
- Basic knowledge of GMP environments and ISO quality standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency with ERP or eQMS platforms.
- Understanding of sampling plans and inspection activities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Motivation to develop a career in quality.
