Quality Engineer – European Distribution Center

About the role

BD is looking for a Quality Engineer for its European Distribution Center in Temse. The role supports quality excellence by backing compliance activities, driving continuous improvement and partnering with colleagues across the organization so that products meet the highest quality standards. You will maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) for the BDM Pharmaceutical Systems business and work closely with operational teams and quality stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the QMS, contribute to quality planning and quality system effectiveness initiatives, and support the implementation and monitoring of quality processes and procedures.
• Support inspections during material handling, storage and distribution, monitor compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Take part in root cause investigations, help close complaints and investigations in a timely and compliant way, manage non-conformance records and support CAPA activities.
• Analyze quality data to identify improvement opportunities, contribute to quality improvement projects and process harmonization, and join cross-functional teams focused on operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific, technical or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related quality role.
• Experience in a regulated environment (medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred).
• Fluent Dutch and English, written and spoken; French is an asset.
• Proactive, quality-minded, with strong organizational and communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Required skills

• Experience with non-conformances, CAPA processes and investigation activities.
• Preferred: knowledge of ISO 13485, familiarity with CAPA and complaint management, ERP systems (preferably SAP), quality management systems such as TrackWise, and knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
