Purchase & Contract Manager

About the role

The Purchase & Contract Manager safeguards the business by overseeing all purchasing activities, contract negotiations, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle. Working for a mission‑critical IT company serving mainly the public sector, the role ensures compliance, continuity and optimal commercial conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all project and investment purchasing, negotiate commercial terms and discounts, and support budget control.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual and commercial risks from tendering to maintenance, advising project teams on key clauses.
• Manage supplier, partner and facility maintenance contracts, overseeing the full contract lifecycle from drafting to renewal.
• Coordinate ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 14001 certification processes, act as main contact for external auditors and maintain the Integrated Management System.
• Screen and coordinate grant opportunities, collect required data, and prepare complete application files.
• Oversee acquisition and renewal of business‑supporting certifications and recognitions (e.g., public works, security clearances).

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, contract management and commercial risk assessment, preferably in an IT or public‑sector environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 27001, 14001) and certification processes.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with solid organizational and documentation abilities.
