Public Information Intern

About the role

The United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) in Brussels is looking for a motivated Public Information Intern to support its communications activities. The internship lasts 4‑6 months and offers a blend of in‑person and hybrid work.

Key responsibilities

• Write and translate articles for the UNRIC website.
• Draft, edit, and publish content on UNRIC’s social media platforms.
• Assist with media monitoring and liaison with relevant media outlets.
• Support daily interaction with civil society, academia, and NGOs across the covered countries.
• Help organise events that showcase UN work in the region.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the supervising Desk Officer.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or completed a graduate program, or in the final year of a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong interest in international affairs, public communication, and the United Nations.
• Excellent written English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
