Project Quality and Safety Manager

About the role

The Project Quality and Safety Manager (PrQSM) ensures that all quality and safety aspects of a project are properly planned, executed, and monitored. Reporting to the Country/Region Quality Safety Manager and working closely with the Project Manager, the role guarantees alignment between project QCD objectives and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main interface with customer quality and safety teams.
• Define, implement, and monitor the project quality plan.
• Support gate‑review preparation, evidence verification, and follow‑up actions.
• Report quality and safety alerts and manage non‑conformities.
• Ensure correct execution of safety assessments and authorisations.
• Conduct inspections and audits to verify deliverable compliance.
• Lead the REX process and continuous improvement of project quality performance.
• Support deployment and coaching of the local Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure its documentation is up‑to‑date.
• Organise internal and external audits and manage resulting action plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project quality and safety assurance, preferably in industrial or transportation sectors.
• Strong knowledge of QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) objectives and customer‑focused quality management.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams, including internal depots, RAMS, reliability growth, and external suppliers.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with customers and external partners.
