Programme and Liaison Support Intern

About the role

The Programme and Liaison Support Internship offers a unique opportunity to work within IOM's EU Policy and Programme Support Division in Brussels. Interns will contribute to IOM’s engagement with EU institutions, gaining hands‑on experience in migration policy and programme coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining relationships with EU institutions, bodies, and agencies.
• Support the preparation of briefing notes, policy briefs, and evidence‑based recommendations on migration‑related topics.
• Help coordinate advocacy activities of IOM Country and Regional Offices with EU partners.
• Collect, analyse, and summarise data relevant to EU migration programmes.
• Provide administrative support for meetings, events, and reporting tasks.

Required profile

• Enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s programme or graduated within the last 12 months.
• Age between 20 and 36 years.
• Less than two years of relevant work experience.
• Strong interest in migration, international policy, or related fields.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, multilingual environment.
