Production Team Leader – Chocolate Manufacturing

About the role

Join Manufacture Belge de Chocolats (MBC) in Brussels as a Production Team Leader and help drive the safe, efficient and continuous operation of our chocolate manufacturing area. You will lead shop‑floor teams, coordinate daily production activities and ensure the highest standards of quality, safety and GMP compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage shift production to meet targets while monitoring safety, quality, hygiene and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee chocolate manufacturing processes and apply technical knowledge to optimise performance.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels using the ERP system and support KPI achievement for productivity, capacity, quality, safety and cost control.
• Organise production activities, execute schedules and ensure effective handovers between shifts.
• Conduct team meetings, provide feedback, address performance issues and recognise achievements.
• Train, coach and develop line leaders and operators to enhance operational flexibility.
• Communicate incidents, contribute to corrective actions and document production data accurately.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, R&D and other departments in operational meetings.

Required profile

• Background in Industrial Sciences, Food Sciences or equivalent experience in a production environment, preferably food or pharmaceutical.
• Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing setting.
• Fluent French with the ability to communicate in Dutch; English is an asset.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift system (morning and afternoon).
• Good knowledge of MS Office and production tools and processes.
