Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will manage the sourcing of components and materials needed for manufacturing operations. Working closely with Planning, Engineering, Operations and Sales, the role ensures that supplies align with production schedules, customer demand and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor supplier on‑time delivery, quality and cost performance and resolve issues to minimise production disruption.
• Maintain supplier documentation, manage RFQs, negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Identify and deliver annual cost‑saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and market analysis.
• Develop strategies to reduce lead times, optimise inventory levels and support vendor‑managed inventory where applicable.
• Partner with Engineering to manage component obsolescence, coordinate last‑time buys and qualify alternative parts and suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing procurement of components and materials for manufacturing environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Planning, Engineering, Operations and Sales teams.
