Private Equity Intern

About the role

Join Fortino Capital’s Belgian Private Equity team for a four‑month internship where you will gain hands‑on experience evaluating and investing in high‑growth B2B SaaS companies across Europe. You will work closely with partners and investment professionals, supporting the full deal‑flow process from sourcing to negotiation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist partners and the investment team in deal‑flow activities, including due‑diligence and negotiations with potential portfolio companies.
• Conduct valuation and financial analysis of prospective investments.
• Perform market, industry and technology deep‑dives to identify attractive opportunities.
• Research and analyse trends to pinpoint promising private‑equity targets and strong management teams.
• Provide operational support to portfolio companies in online marketing, business development and sales.
• Prepare investment proposals and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a university program related to finance, business or engineering.
• Strong understanding of digital business models and data‑driven evaluation.
• Previous exposure to private equity, growth equity, high‑growth start‑ups, investment banking or strategy consulting.
• Team‑player with a positive attitude.
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French, excellent command of English, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Available to work on‑site in Antwerp at least 3‑4 days per week.
