Freelance Finance Controller

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Finance Controller to join a multi‑site manufacturing client in Antwerp. The role focuses on strengthening month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and delivering high‑quality, timely financial reporting at both the plant and group level.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and continuously improve month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close and reporting cycles.
• Validate financial submissions from multiple plants, ensuring alignment with group standards.
• Identify and resolve reporting issues, variances and inaccuracies.
• Drive standardisation of reporting templates, KPIs and financial processes across regions.
• Partner with local finance teams and central/global finance to provide guidance and ensure alignment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, preferably in a multi‑site or manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with month‑end close and group reporting.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP; group reporting experience is a strong plus.
• Experience driving process improvement and standardisation across regions.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
