Plant Controller – Finance & Cost Management

About the role

The Plant Controller will lead the financial controlling function for NLMK Clabecq, ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting and cost monitoring for a high‑volume steel production site. Working closely with the plant manager, CEO and the Group corporate team, you will provide insight‑driven analysis to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, presentations and operating efficiency analyses.
• Deliver timely financial reporting and maintain communication with the Group corporate team.
• Analyse actual results, including industrial cost, general expenses and profitability.
• Develop accurate forecasts for P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Own the annual budgeting process and monitor budget adherence.
• Implement cost‑controlling procedures and flag deviations to senior management.
• Conduct commercial controlling, assessing order intake profitability and market performance.
• Support SAP implementation: create costing reports, test functionalities and assist development.
• Provide data for external authorities, such as antidumping investigations.
• Handle ad‑hoc requests and translate them into actionable tasks for the team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance or Economics.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant controlling experience.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint abilities.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for multicultural collaboration.
