Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) Lead

About the role

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) Lead will drive the strategy and execution of patient‑reported outcomes (PRO) and broader clinical outcome assessment (COA) programs across UCB’s product lifecycle. This role generates robust patient experience evidence that supports regulatory, health‑technology assessment (HTA) and market access decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive patient experience evidence strategy from early development through post‑marketing.
• Lead selection, development, validation, and implementation of PRO/COA measures in clinical studies.
• Provide expert input to strategic documents, study protocols, analysis plans, and clinical reports.
• Contribute subject‑matter expertise to regulatory and HTA briefing packages and interactions.
• Oversee scientific dissemination, including peer‑reviewed publications and conference abstracts.
• Build and maintain relationships with external groups to advance methodological frameworks for patient evidence.
• Act as an ambassador to raise internal awareness of the value of patient experience data.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s, PhD, MD or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Significant experience in biopharmaceutical, medical device, or academic settings focused on PRO/COA or patient preference research.
• Proven project leadership managing complex, global initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills in a matrix organization.

Required skills

• Expertise in PRO/COA development, validation and implementation within clinical research.
• In‑depth knowledge of qualitative and quantitative scientific methodologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory and HTA evidentiary requirements.
