Pastry Cook – Restaurant

About the role

The restaurant is seeking a Pastry Cook to deliver high-quality pastry and bakery items while providing excellent guest service. You will work under the Pastry Chef to ensure consistency, presentation, and timely production of all menu items.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all pastry and bakery items according to restaurant specifications and standards.
• Produce food promptly to meet guest service expectations.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including equipment, shelves, and refrigeration units.
• Follow departmental policies, employee handbook rules, and health‑safety regulations.
• Report any equipment maintenance or repair needs.
• Ensure proper sanitation practices to prevent food spoilage and contamination.
• Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant pastry department.
• Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand or walk for up to 8 hours.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
