OT Engineer – Industrial Automation & Cybersecurity

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic OT Engineer to manage and expand our industrial network at Nitto Belgium. You will act as the bridge between IT and the shop floor, ensuring our factory automation runs reliably and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the effectiveness of automated business processes.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and software failures (client/server, hosting, network, data communication, MES).
• Serve as the central contact for OT‑related issues, both internally and with external partners.
• Apply lifecycle management to OT assets and oversee software change control.
• Execute OT procedures and continuously optimise the cybersecurity posture.
• Monitor emerging technologies and translate them into practical applications.

Required profile

• Strong passion for Operational Technology.
• Proven experience in OT cybersecurity within industrial environments.
• Familiarity with EU cybersecurity regulations, especially the NIS2 directive.
• Customer‑focused, analytical, safety‑aware and results‑driven.

Required skills

• OT protocols: OPC UA, PROFINET, MQTT.
• Industrial network knowledge: Profinet, Profibus, firewall configuration, network segmentation.
• System hardening and factory automation.
• Server and PC systems: VMware, Microsoft Windows.
• SCADA and MES integration.
• Troubleshooting of hardware and software components.
• Software change management.
