Operational Risk Awareness Trainer (Short‑Term Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Operational Risk Consultant or Training Facilitator to design and deliver a 60‑75 minute awareness workshop for a non‑specialist audience in Luxembourg. The role is short‑term, with 3‑4 in‑person sessions scheduled within a single week.

Key responsibilities

• Design an engaging 60–75 minute Operational Risk awareness workshop.
• Deliver 3–4 in‑person training sessions during one week.
• Create interactive exercises, simulations, role‑play or gamified activities to maximise engagement.
• Explain Operational Risk concepts in simple, accessible language.
• Demonstrate how operational risks are identified and assessed.
• Introduce risk‑assessment concepts such as impact and likelihood.
• Illustrate how risk assessments support effective controls and avoid over‑control.
• Highlight the importance of incident reporting for emerging‑risk identification.
• Help participants understand how proactive risk management improves organisational resilience.
• Encourage audience participation and discussion throughout each session.

Required profile

• Expert knowledge of Operational Risk Management.
• Proven experience explaining risk concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Understanding of risk identification, assessment, controls, and incident management.
• Extensive experience delivering corporate workshops and training.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with experience using gamification, simulations or role‑play.
• Ability to engage diverse audiences and create memorable learning experiences.
