Operational Pharmacist – Mobile Implementation Officer

About the role

The Operational Pharmacist Mobile Implementation Officer supports MSF Belgium’s medical strategy by acting as the pharmacy focal point for two operational cells covering multiple countries. The role combines field work, cross‑functional coordination and technical pharmacy expertise to ensure safe, effective and cost‑efficient use of medicines and medical supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational pharmacy support to two cells, spending ~70% of time in field locations.
• Coordinate stock management, Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) across projects.
• Collaborate with MEDOPs, SCOs, HROs and the Supply Chain Department to align pharmacy activities with overall project goals.
• Assess pharmaceutical product quality and ensure compliance with WHO standards throughout the product life‑cycle.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and training for local pharmacy teams.

Required profile

• Qualified pharmacist with experience in international or humanitarian settings.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work in challenging environments.
• Strong ability to communicate across functions and cultures.
• Understanding of MSF’s medical strategy and operational processes.
