Music Teacher – Secondary Cycle (EN/FR)

About the role

The European School Brussels I is seeking a qualified Music Teacher for its secondary cycle (English/French language section). The role involves delivering 10‑15 weekly teaching periods to students aged 11‑18, supporting an inclusive and innovative learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver music lessons across lower secondary to baccalaureate levels.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of mixed‑ability classes.
• Integrate new technologies and digital tools into music teaching.
• Contribute actively to the life of the secondary school and collaborate with colleagues.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and student wellbeing.

Required profile

• Fluent command of French and English equivalent to an educated native speaker.
• Valid teaching diploma for Music recognized by the Ministry of Education (subject to inspector validation).
• Recent experience teaching music at secondary level.
• Proven record of excellent teaching practices and teamwork.
• Willingness to teach mixed classes and to engage in school community activities.
• Preference for experience in European or international schools and fluency in an additional European language.
