Microsoft Security Consultant – XDR & Sentinel

About the role

Inetum Belgium is seeking an experienced Microsoft Security Consultant to help clients improve their security posture. You will work with the Microsoft Defender XDR suite and Microsoft Sentinel to design, implement, and optimise security solutions that detect threats, automate responses, and strengthen overall resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, configure and manage Microsoft Defender XDR components (Endpoint, Identity, Email, Cloud Apps).
• Deploy, fine‑tune and operate Microsoft Sentinel for continuous security monitoring and automated incident response.
• Develop and optimise detection rules, playbooks and dashboards within Sentinel.
• Conduct threat analyses, security assessments and support incident investigations.
• Advise clients on Microsoft security best practices and efficient SOC operations.
• Produce clear technical documentation and deliver training sessions for end‑users and administrators.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in security consulting or SOC‑related roles.
• Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Relevant Microsoft security certifications (e.g., SC‑200, SC‑300) are a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
