Medior Purchasing Officer / Buyer – Public Mobility (Brussels)

About the role

As a Medior Purchasing Officer / Buyer you will manage the end‑to‑end execution of procurement processes for goods and services within the public mobility sector. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, you will ensure that purchasing requests, orders, contracts and invoices are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with internal procedures. You will report to the Contract Administration Team Lead and act as a key liaison between business units, Project Delivery Services, Finance, Procurement and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the shared procurement mailbox and coordinate administrative processing of purchasing requests from initiation to completion.
• Process procurement activities in SAP ECC and SAP Ariba, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Create and manage procurement requests in SAP Ariba for one‑off purchases, call‑offs against framework agreements and new framework contracts.
• Coordinate approval workflows, including DocuSign documentation, and track purchase orders throughout their lifecycle.
• Process incoming supplier invoices, confirm receipt of goods/services (MIGO), register invoices and prepare them for payment approval.
• Collaborate with Finance to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Produce procurement reports and ad‑hoc analyses, extracting data from SAP Ariba and using Excel pivot tables and analytical tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Purchasing Officer, Buyer or in a comparable procurement role.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP ECC and SAP Ariba.
• Availability to work on‑site in Brussels at least two days per week, with a mandatory presence on Wednesdays.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and French.
