Medior Operational Excellence Consultant

About the role

Avertim is seeking a Medior Operational Excellence Consultant to lead performance improvement initiatives within pharmaceutical manufacturing sites. You will act as a coach, facilitator and challenger, working closely with operational teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational agility.

Key responsibilities

• Support operational teams in implementing continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated environment.
• Facilitate and coach teams in structured problem‑solving for complex operational issues.
• Challenge existing practices and promote sustainable corrective actions.
• Develop and strengthen Operational Excellence capabilities across teams.
• Maintain active shop‑floor engagement to identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in cross‑functional performance and deviation review meetings.
• Diagnose systemic issues and contribute to process optimisation projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical operations with a strong Operational Excellence background.
• Certified Lean Green Belt or Black Belt.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a consulting context with strong adaptability.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma methodology.
• Kaizen and other process improvement tools.
• CAPA management within GMP‑regulated environments.
• Project management.
