Medior Accountant – Client Portfolio Management

About the role

We are seeking a Medior Accountant to join our team and support a diverse portfolio of clients in Liège, Belgium. The role involves handling the full accounting cycle for SMEs, liberal professions and sole traders, ensuring compliance with Belgian standards.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors.
• Perform the complete bookkeeping cycle: data entry, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and submit periodic VAT declarations and other tax obligations.
• Execute period‑end closings and assist in the preparation of annual financial statements.
• Maintain regular, direct contact with clients, answering accounting queries.
• Ensure full compliance with Belgian accounting standards and fiscal regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and management to guarantee quality and consistency across files.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in an accounting firm or fiduciary environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client files autonomously.
• Good knowledge of Belgian accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Currently registered as an ITAA trainee (stagiaire ITAA) is a strong plus.
• Fluent French; English is an asset.

Required skills

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Bob50, Winbooks or Horus.
