Medical Advisor – Lung Cancer

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Advisor specialized in lung cancer to join AstraZeneca’s Medical Affairs team covering Belgium and Luxembourg. The role will support the development and execution of the medical strategy for our lung‑cancer portfolio, working closely with cross‑functional teams and external experts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key external experts and healthcare professionals.
• Provide balanced, non‑promotional scientific exchange aligned with therapeutic area strategy.
• Stay current with clinical and scientific advances through literature review, congress attendance and expert engagement.
• Capture insights on patient pathways, treatment practices and unmet needs and feed them into brand and medical strategy.
• Act as a core member of cross‑functional brand teams, contributing scientific input to planning, campaigns and operational strategies.
• Deliver medical training to commercial teams and review promotional materials for scientific integrity.
• Lead design and execution of medical affairs projects, manage timelines, budgets and KPIs.
• Drive real‑world evidence generation, organise advisory boards, expert meetings and scientific events.
• Build long‑term relationships with key opinion leaders and manage advocacy networks.
