Materials Operator – Stock Handling & Packaging

About the role

As a Materials Operator at Lonza in Bornem, you will manage stock handling, repackaging and shipment preparation to meet customer specifications. Working independently on the production floor, you will ensure that all materials are correctly labeled, packaged and documented before leaving the site.

Key responsibilities

• Relabel and package stock orders and free‑stock cartons according to customer requirements.
• Handle the caddy process, receive returns and imports, and perform internal and external sampling.
• Repack boxes, insulate pallets, manage scrap, and collect auxiliary materials for final product finishing.
• Operate manual and electric pallet trucks and the wrapping machine.
• Maintain accurate data in SAP, MES and related applications (CEX, reprocessing, finishing, labeling tools).
• Correct deviations, complete required documentation and ensure weekly and daily workplace cleaning.

Required profile

• Fluent Dutch speaker; English knowledge is a plus.
• Strong hands‑on mentality and ability to work 100 % onsite.
• Computer affinity with experience in SAP, Excel and Word considered a strong plus.
